A Topless Flash: The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible

When you think Bentley, you think ultra high-end, not necessarily speed–and certainly not convertibles. But the luxury British auto manufacturer is indeed fusing those two things together with the 2013 Continental GT Speed Convertible. Making its international debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, this aggressively styled spitfire boasts a six-liter twin-turbocharged 48-valve W12 engine that commands a top speed of 202 mph. Bentley says that makes it the world’s fastest four-seat convertible. The Speed coupé has the same powertrain, but weighs about 300 pounds less (6,063 lbs to the convertible’s 6,393). That vehicle goes for $217,725, so expect the GT Speed’s sticker to be in the same ballpark.
