Add a Windows tablet + Dell and you probably won’t get around-the-block lines for a new device, but early indications are you might get something pretty solid. Dell is back in the small tablet game and looking to ride Windows 8.1 to some success with the Venue 8 Pro ($299). The 8-inch device comes with 32GB of storage, a Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and an IPS screen that reportedly looks pretty damn good with its 1,280×800-pixel-resolution. There’s also a front-facing 1.2-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel back camera, and at just 0.35 inches thick and 0.9 pounds, there’s reason to think this could be a strong step forward for both Windows 8(.1) and Dell.
