Pioneer is pimping some serious filet mignon in the form of the BDP-LX55, their newest 3D model that’s promising superior video and audio playback. This baby features dual HDMI outputs, meaning the HDMI main out can be dedicated to video output to connect to a TV, while the HDMI sub out goes to an audio component such as an AV receiver. High def audio may not have fully caught on, but that doesn’t matter to the BDP-LX55; it plays SACD and DVD-Audio, giving you tons of options for beautiful tunes. There’s no built-in WiFi here, but this one is aimed at picture purists more than anything else.
