Like an acid-splashed trip to the 60s, London artist Damien Hirst and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers have collaborated to make a series of guitars that seem right out of the Hendrix’ collection. The Spun Guitar Series features 125 color-spun guitars with cases that are equally as arresting. The ‘Multi Colored Deluxe Spin’, ‘Black and White’, and ‘Color Spin Bass Guitar’ are each signed by Hirst and Flea on the back, with a limited edition number on the base of the neck and the Hirst-Flea logo featured on the headstock. A nice touch here is that the proceeds from each sale go to Flea’s non-profit organization, The Silverlake Conservatory of Music, which seeks to enrich the lives of children through affordable or free music lessons and instruments.
