Motorola Droid RAZR HD and RAZR HD Maxx

The only thing faster than the turnstile on Rihanna’s bed is the speed with which new smartphones are hitting the market. It seems like just yesterday that the Motorola Droid RAZR was wowing us with its amazingly slim design and Kevlar coating. Now Motorola is back with new models for Verizon Wireless’s 4G LTE network.

The RAZR HD and RAZR HD Maxx are not only big (4.7″ displays) and light, but they’re both claiming superior battery life. The HD comes with a 2,530mAh battery for 16 hours of talk time, or 24 hours of “mixed use” as Motorola calls normal daily use. The Maxx HD’s 3,300 mAh battery is rated for 21 hours of talk time, or 32 hours of mixed use time.

Both phones run on Qualcomm’s latest 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB RAM, and both have an 8-megapixel camera to handle 1080p HD video. They’ll also run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), with an upgrade to  4.1 (Jelly Bean) by the end of the year. We should know pricing soon.
