Business professional, pay attention ‘cause you’re gonna want to get your hands on this book, the HP Folio 13 Ultrabook, that is, available December 7th. HP just announced their first ultrabook and the newest entry to the growing ultrabook category, a 3.3 pound, 18mm thick metal frame with a 13.3″ display and backlit keyboard. The Folio 13 guarantees a nine hour battery life and a hearty selection of ports, including HDMI, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 3.0, a memory card reader and a dual headphone/mic socket. Brushed metal sweeps across the lid and palmrest.
Although it’s been referred to as a bit “chunky” (or perhaps it’s just big-boned), the Folio 13 is easy to grip and transport to the big meeting, thanks to the soft material on the exterior. Some may be disappointed when they lift the lid (considering the $900 price point) to find basic, plastic keys instead of a metal board. On the flip side, the Folio sports a simple and uncluttered deck, which gives it a sleek, simple, and classy look. You’ll find that the reviews on this one are mixed, so do your homework and stay tuned for more info to come.
