Ferrari 458 Speciale: Goes Faster Than A Tiny Cup Of Espresso

Ever get one of those little espressos after a fine Italian meal? What’s going on there? Ist there even an ounce of liquid in that dainty white cup? As fast as an espresso goes down your gullet, another Italian invention, the Ferrari 458 Speciale ($TBA), goes even faster. The aspirated V8 4.5-liter engine cranks out 596 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque, getting you from 0 to 62 mph in three seconds. The 458 Speciale also boasts front and rear movable aerodynamics which balance downforce and cut drag, making this the most aerodynamically efficient range production car in Ferrari history. More like expresso, huh?!

Ferrari LaFerrari: 950 Horses Ready To Peel Your Skin Off

Just one day after we highlighted Lamborghini’s new speed demon, Ferrari has answered the call with its own stunner, LaFerrari. OK so the name doesn’t exactly send shivers down your spine (it translates to “The Ferrari”), but the specs will knock you on your buttocks: 950, yes, 950 horsepower. The 6.3-liter V12 blasts off to 60 in less than three seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 mph. Oh, it’s also a hybrid. 161 horses actually come from the 132-pound lithium-ion battery pack that rests behind the passenger compartment. Generous carbon fiber coating keeps the weight down to just 2,800 lbs, which is just 12 pounds heavier than Adele.

Ferrari By Logic3

For most of us, owning a Ferrari is nothing more than a pipe dream–ain’t happening. But owning Ferrari headphones? Hey now! These are actually attainable! Boasting a luxurious design, the Ferrari By Logic3 T350 Active Noise Cancelling headphones ($399) take their cue from the illustrious Italian auto line, with expert craftsmanship, rich leather, and perfectly molded metal. Of course your tunes (or weird podcast about possum spleen harvesting) will sound great with the high-efficiency 40mm driver. Finally, luxury you can afford.

Ferrari 458 Spider by Novitec Rosso

Girls are notorious for being giant fart heads, and boys are well-known for being major barf bags. The Ferrari 458 Spider by Novitec Rosso is the car for anyone who totally like-likes either of those genders. If you’re a gross weirdo and you want to be exposed to dangerous amounts of cooties, show your crush the Spider’s many spoilers. You’ll be holding hands in no time after they check out the Spider’s Pirelli Pzero tires (you could totally put your rookie Ryne Sandberg baseball card in the tire’s spokes, if only your dad didn’t take it away like a total jerkwad). And the spacious backseat is a nice place for when you want to…you know…do the deed (kiss).

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Think about the pressure on Ferrari. Every year they’re expected to deliver another vehicle that takes humankind one step closer to the speed of light. Well, congratulazioni gentlemen! You’ve done it again. Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the F12 Berlinetta promises to be the fastest Ferrari ever. The 740-horsepower V12 produces 509 lb-ft of torque, sending the 3,362-pound rocket from 0-62 mph in a startling 3.1 seconds. If you do wind up with one of these beauties, though, you might want to check the brake line. Ya never know–the Italians could still be pissed about us sending them the Jersey Shore.

Ferrari California

Ferrari is updating the California coupe-convertible to be lighter and more powerful in 2012. With expected March delivery (don’t hold your breath), the new California will be upgraded to 483bhp and enhanced torque up to 373lb ft. Ferrari may have increased the horse power and torque, but the California will actually lose a few lbs, 30kg from the kerbweight, to be exact, which makes the California weigh in at about 1705kg. All thanks to new lighter aluminum alloys in the chassis.

Available only with a twin-clutch transmission, the new “Cali” looks pretty much the same on the outside. Inside though? The entertainment system, now on steroids, has a bigger hard drive (40GB), and it will sync with your iPhone 4 or Galaxy smartphones. In summary, the new Ferrari California is just plain badass.
